BUSINESS
Lani Hay is the Founder, President and CEO of Lanmark Technology (LMT) Inc. Headquartered in Vienna, Virginia, LMT is a Woman-owned, Service-Disabled Veteran-owned, Small Disadvantaged Business providing innovative mission support consulting solutions aligned with our national security interests for government and commercial clients worldwide in the areas of: Intelligence-Biometrics Enabled Intelligence/Weapons Technical Intelligence/Cyber Space/Network Operations; Asymmetric Warfare-Counter IED/Homeland Defense; and Electronic Warfare. LMT ensures that people are safe and assets are protected allowing continuity of operations and mission completion.
With over a decade of experience in the areas of military intelligence and business management, Ms. Hay has grown LMT from a one-woman consulting firm to a highly regarded, employee oriented, multi-million dollar enterprise providing services and systems strengthening the Federal Government. Under Ms. Hay’s leadership, LMT has rapidly become a recognized name that federal agencies and industry leaders have grown to trust to deliver cost effective solutions through sound business practices.
LMT’s non-fiction production division, WarFront REAL Productions, focuses on the development of to the production on ambitious groundbreaking factually inspired television shows and documentaries, specifically relating to the United States military. In 2002, WarFront launched with its first solo television series with Tony and Ridley Scott called “American Fighter Pilot” which aired on CBS. Current projects in development are “Frogwomen” and season two of “American Fighter Pilot”. Additionally, Ms. Hay expanded upon her entrepreneurial passion by launching Blak Lava, LLC, a small business innovative research technology solutions provider, and One Voice Solutions, LLC, a small business innovative research e-democracy solutions developer.
MILITARY
Prior to forming LMT, Ms. Hay honorably served the United States as a Naval Intelligence Officer and a Naval Aviation Observer. As an Air Intelligence Officer (AIO) for a Patrol Reconnaissance Squadron in Kaneohe, HI, she analyzed, assembled and disseminated intelligence information for squadron aircrews and carrier air groups by providing operational assessments and briefings on time critical subjects. Ms. Hay spearheaded, researched, and evaluated new exploitation techniques providing advanced development support for state-of-the-art prototype reconnaissance equipment. As a non-rated aircrew member who earned her Naval Aviation Observer Wings, Ms. Hay has over 200 hours of special flight time supporting sensitive reconnaissance missions on board the U.S. Navy's P-3 Orion. During her military career, she was an acknowledged expert on patrol reconnaissance operations and overhead collection assets. She was also a recognized tactical intelligence expert in European, Middle Eastern, and Far Eastern military operations. Ms. Hay provided in-theatre operational and tactical support of Operation Desert Fox and Operation Southern Watch. She also provided direct support of operational and tactical units during Operation Noble Anvil, the American Component of Operation Allied Force (the Kosovo War). Ms. Hay concluded her operational tour as an AIO in support of several reconnaissance missions in the Asian/Pacific Region. Additionally, Ms. Hay served as a Force Protection/Anti-terrorism Officer, Top Secret Control Officer, Security Manager, Foreign Attaché Liaison Officer for the Chief of Naval Operations, and as the Deputy Director for Training Development at the Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center, Damneck, Virginia. As a Navy Lieutenant, Ms. Hay was released from active duty in 2002, served three years as a member of the Individual Ready Reserves, and was honorably discharged in 2005.
EDUCATION
Ms. Lani Hay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy, a Master of Business Administration degree from the College of William and Mary's Mason School of Business, and a Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting from George Washington University. Ms. Hay has also completed continuing education courses at Hawaii Pacific University and Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. She is a graduate of LEAD VIRGINIA’s class of 2011 and the University of Virginia Sorensen Institute’s 2012 Political Leaders Program.
